Dr Stavrou operates a multi- disciplinary Integrated Health Centre in Sandton, Johannesburg, with the focus on”healing – through natural treatments and rehabilitation”.
In 1995 he commenced his studies at Wits Medical School and registered with the HPCSA as a physiotherapist in 1998. Dr Stavrou’s interest and passion has always lied in natural medicine and from 2000 he pursued and completed postgrad training in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine with the AHPCSA. In 2001 he registered as an Acupuncturist with the AHPCSA, and then subsequently as a Dr of Chinese Medicine in 2007.
Dr Stavrou has been lecturing Dry Needling for over 12 years and has also developed a comprehensive two-day course on the Temporomandibular Joint. He has lectured to over 7000 postgraduate medical professionals worldwide and has completed many conferences around the globe.He completed the Hackett-Hemwell Prolotherapy conference in 2010, and is extremely privileged to be mentored by Dr Ross Hauser, one of the leading prolotherapists in the world.
He has been married for over 12 years to his teenage sweetheart Helen, and they have one son, Markos. Both his family and church life are an integral part of his overall vision, and he was ordained as a pastor at Lifehouse Church in 2011.
Dr Stavrou is an avid athlete. He is a 6 times Comrades finisher, with a personal best of 8:32. In 1994, he also played provincial tennis while completing his schooling at St Stithians College.
His presiding heart’s desire is that people live in complete wholeness, while living out their eternal purpose.
